Exactly, OM. And to be fair to Allardyce, he's said that throughout.

The only people making an issue out of his contract situation are his mates in the media scrambling round for excuses for our shithouse performances.

I don't think he'd accept a years contract, NS son.

This statement does nothing to suggest Sam will be offered a new contract.

It does however, completely exonerate the club from undermining him or making his position untenable.

If they don't want Sam, they'll just make the description for next year's job beyond his wishes or ability. We'll see. I reckon he has been planning his own route out for some time, personally.

At least Lady Brady and the board are not bed wetters like some of you on here.

Their only error was not issuing a club statement to that effect a few weeks ago.

It's a sensible decision in my eyes. Do away with the uncertainty and sit down at the end of the season and go from there.

riosleftsock 5:26 Tue Apr 21
Re: Brady dismisses Sam leaving rumours
Boogers, most people on this kid of salary and level within a business have to sign a NDA.

Nothing will be said until a settlement is reached at the end of the season.

What settlement? He'll be out of contract........

Johnson 5:29 Tue Apr 21
Re: Brady dismisses Sam leaving rumours
Firstly lots of managers announce they are leaving before the end of a season; the Brentford fella and Klopp being two this season.

Secondly an NDA, if one existed, wouldn't cover his future personal intentions past the club so he could openly talk about that now.

Thirdly, there won't be any settle my to be made as his contract naturally finishes at the end of this season.

Ignoring those three things, your post is spot on though Rios.

I think he'll go to Sunderland on a much longer deal personally.
